Live Bonuses
Live strategy banners appear for about three seconds each. A forced pass can show a live notice. Earned points are also listed in the recap.
- Smart Choice! +1
- Your regular card forces a draw or pass, and another legal play would have let your opponent respond. The +1 appears at the table when earned and in the recap. A separate, point-free Smart Choice banner appears live when you force a pass and play another card on your next turn. It can appear once per player per round.
- Joker Lock! +2
- Your Joker call forces your opponent to draw or pass because they have no legal reply.
- Lockdown! +1 (preview)
- Two separate plays of yours force a draw or pass on consecutive opponent turns. The banner appears after the second forced action.
- Joker Setup! +2 (preview)
- With the deck empty, play a Joker and call 7. Your opponent has no legal reply and passes. On your next turn, play your last card, an 8, to win. The banner appears when your last card lands.
- Ace Timing! +2 (preview)
- Pass up a legal chance to play an Ace. Later, with the deck empty, play that same Ace and force your opponent to pass. On your very next turn, play your last card to win. For example, save an Ace while holding a 2, then play the Ace, force a pass, and go out with the 2.
- Clean Sweep! +3
- You win by playing your last card.
- Block Finish! +1
- Both players are blocked and you win with fewer hand points.
Recap Awards
These recap awards are previews. When available, both players will see them once the hands are revealed. Each denial earns its highest applicable award. A Smart Choice that upgrades to a trap earns +2 total.
- Ace Trap! +2
- A 2 is on the table. You hold your playable Ace and play a 3 instead. Your opponent could have played a King on the Ace, but they have no legal reply to the 3 and must draw or pass.
- King Trap! +2
- A Queen is on the table. You hold your playable King and play a Jack instead. Your opponent could have played an Ace on the King, but they have no legal reply to the Jack and must draw or pass.
- Queen Trap! +2
- A Jack is on the table. You hold your playable Queen and play a 10 instead. Your opponent could have played a King on the Queen, but they have no legal reply to the 10 and must draw or pass.
- Jack Trap! +2
- A 10 is on the table. You hold your playable Jack and play a 9 instead. Your opponent could have played a Queen on the Jack, but they have no legal reply to the 9 and must draw or pass.
- Points Save! (proposed)
- With the deck empty, you shed a high-value card and win a blocked round before playing again. For example, you shed a 10 and win 12–20. The 10 points you shed exceed your 8-point winning margin. The ranking-point value is still open.
- Comeback Win! +2
- With the deck empty, you start a turn at least 20 hand points behind, then win the round. For example, you start with 45 points while your opponent has 20. Once per round.
A trap counts only when the card you held would have given your opponent a legal reply and the card you chose forced a draw or pass. Each named trap can count once per round.
- Ace Shutout! +4
- On at least two separate turns, you keep the same opposing Ace blocked when another legal play would open it up. That Ace stays in their hand through the finish.
- Cut Off the Two! +2
- You keep an opposing 2 blocked when another legal play would open it up. Once per round.
- Rank Denied! +1
- You keep another opposing rank blocked when another legal play would open it up. The recap identifies the rank.
Rare Recap Awards
Sacrifice Goat! +1 or +5
Pass up a legal chance to play an Ace and you’ll see +1 pending during play. Win the round to bank that point. To upgrade the award to +5 total, play that same Ace with the deck empty when a 2 is your opponent’s only legal reply. Answer their 2 with a 3 on your next turn, then win the round. The confirmed award appears on the table and in the recap. You can earn it once per round.
Two Killer! +3 (preview)
You deny the same opposing 2 on two separate turns when you could have opened it up. It stays in their hand through the finish. This upgrades Cut Off the Two to +3 total for that card.
